Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information PaperVault collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Last updated: 3 October 2026

Information We Collect

Email address. When you download a free resource, we ask for your email address. We record the email address together with the resource you downloaded and the date and time of the download.

Usage information. Like most websites, we and our service providers automatically receive technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you view, and the time of your visit.

Messages. If you contact us through WhatsApp, we receive the information you choose to send us, such as your name, phone number and message.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide access to resources, keep track of downloads, maintain and secure the website, understand how the website is used so we can improve it, and respond to enquiries. We do not sell your email address.

Payments and Purchases

When you buy a resource, we record your email address, your WhatsApp or phone number, the payment method you choose, the transaction ID you enter, and the status of your order. We use this only to check your payment, give you access to what you bought, contact you about your order, and help you if something goes wrong. We do not store your Orange Money, MyZaka or bank login details. Payments are made directly to our mobile money or bank account.

To confirm that your email address is real and belongs to you, we email you a one-time code before you place an order or download a resource. Once you have confirmed it, a cookie on your device remembers that for up to 90 days, so you do not need a new code each time. We also email you a receipt and, when your payment is approved, a link to open your purchase.

When you view a purchase, a small cookie keeps you logged in to that order for up to 30 days. Purchased pages are marked with your email address and order reference.

Cookies and Google Analytics

PaperVault uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the website, for example which pages are viewed and how visitors arrive. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect this information. You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting data by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising and Google AdSense

PaperVault uses, or may use, Google AdSense to display advertisements. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to PaperVault and/or other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info. You can learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking cookies may affect how some parts of the website work.

Third-Party Service Providers

We use third-party services to run PaperVault, including website hosting, database and file storage, analytics, advertising and, where paid resources are offered, payment processing. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services and under their own privacy policies.

Children's Privacy

PaperVault is an educational website and many of its visitors are students. We do not knowingly ask children to provide more personal information than an email address for downloads. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information you would like removed, please contact us and we will delete it.

Data Retention and Security

We keep download records for as long as they are needed for the purposes described above. We take reasonable measures to protect information handled through PaperVault, but no online service can guarantee complete security.

Your Choices

You may ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. To make a request, contact us through our Contact page.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as PaperVault changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
